The Dirk Fight
The Dirk Dance is a traditional highland dance that has been choreographed as a duel by Colin Robertson. This performance was at NEFFA in April, 2014, with Gregor Williamson as victor and Robert McOwen as vanquished. Mouth music was provided by Jen Schoonover and fiddle drone by Barbara McOwen. |

The Cakewalk
This version of The Cakewalk was devised by Robert McOwen for dancers Aileen Ritchie and Gregor Williamson to enter a Cakewalk Choreography Competition at the Scotland, CT Highland Games in October 2006. Needless to say, they took first place! Since then, Aileen and Gregor have performed the dance in concert with Highland Dance Boston. Enjoy! |

Eyemouth Harbour
Robert McOwen and Pat MacPherson devised this dance in 1989 to the lovely tune that was composed by Muriel Johnstone and recorded on Dancing Fingers, Vol. 1. In this video, Lindsay Page and Robert perform the dance with Muriel playing her tune live at the Strathspey and Reel Society of New Hampshire concert in 2005. |

Robert McOwen and Aileen Ritchie devised this dance to the haunting tune by James Oswald (1711--1769). The title of the tune posed a challenge, but we like the interpretation that we came up with.
